About The Peacock

The peacock extends a very warm welcome to all its guests - many of whom return year after year to explore the surrounding countryside.

Your hosts at the peacock are Victoria Siddall and Graham Webb, who have recently taken over the ownership of the pub. Victoria hails from Sheffield and prior to coming to Bakewell, Victoria ran a series of clothes shops in her home town; graham was a successful rock promoter and developer.

We have a traditional bar with fireplaces and no distractions - a great meeting place for visitors and locals alike or just a nice place for a quiet drink.

The pub is situated in the very centre of this lovely town, backing almost onto the River Wye. Outside the pub we have a large garden area, which in summer is a lovely relaxing place in which to sit in the sunshine or eat a meal from our home cooked recipes supplied from fresh local produce.
